Definition:
Drive internet customer acquisition, retention, loyalty and advocacy through strategic brand, digital, social, local and base marketing campaigns; and through event marketing, PR programs and earned media efforts. Partner with digital and brand agency, City and peer marketing personnel to execute campaigns. Utilize Salesforce Customer Relationship Management software to optimize and automate digital marketing efforts and manage lead capture and generation. Perform analytics to drive tactical plans and optimize marketing budget. Collaborate with Product Marketing and Finance on promotions and value proposition development.
Principal Duties:
Marketing Strategy
· Utilize internal data and analytics to establish marketing strategy, target markets, personas, offers, tactics
· Drive marketing research – qualitative and quantitative – to get consumer feedback to shape strategy
· Work with frontline employees to gain consumer insights and educate about marketing efforts
Marketing Campaigns
· Work with internal team members and external digital and brand agency to establish the tactical plan and budget based on strategy
· Manage the varying elements of campaigns ensuring close oversight of the budget and performance metrics
· Negotiate and purchase local media
· Work with Citywide Communications Division to place media with City assets
· Coordinate with Citywide Communications on scheduling of campaigns, content, and events to harmonize with citywide campaigns, communications, and events
· Manage web content and promotional landing pages
Lead Generation and Management
· Establish lead capture and close process flows using Salesforce CRM
· Automate nurture campaigns through Marketing Cloud
Public Relations, Earned Media and Social Media
· Drive coordinated efforts with City team regarding PR, events, media and social efforts to drive brand favorability ensuring the public knows and likes NextLight and chooses to do business with us
· Manage local and national trade media relations with PR support staff
Cross-organizational Collaboration and Coordination
· Participate meaningfully in weekly Communications Division meetings and monthly Public Information Team meetings.
· Keep Communications Division apprised and involved with NextLight marketing and outreach initiatives
· Ensure campaigns and initiatives are scheduled in alignment (timing, content, brand) with citywide communications and engagement plans.
· Share NextLight marketing plans with Communications Division leadership
· Ensure NextLight marketing materials adhere to NextLight and City brand guidelines in close collaboration with Citywide Brand and Digital Communications Specialist
Analytics
· Work with business analyst and marketing agency on performance metrics
· Test different offers and creative to ensure best approach
· Drive lower acquisition costs through optimized media mix and offers
Customer Experience
· Have knowledge of industry practices around customer experience and customer journey
· Own the customer communication touch points across the customer journey
· Work to ensure that customer and prospect engagements, communication and transactions with NextLight are favorable
Budget Management
· Allocate budget by initiatives and tactics across the campaign calendar
· Manage budget across varying team members and agency to ensure budget adherence and maximization
Working Environment:
Work is performed in a standard office environment. Work requires problem solving skills, frequent reading, reasoning, customer contact, multiple concurrent tasks, and constant interruptions. Requires the ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. Work must be done while working closely with others including both co-workers and users. Frequent light lifting and carrying (up to 30 pounds.), pulling, pushing, reaching, walking, standing, and bending/stooping. Occasional sitting, climbing, twisting, kneeling, squatting, and driving. Periodic travel to other City departments. Must occasionally work community or marketing events after hours.
Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to the completion of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in marketing, digital media, or consumer behavior or closely related field and three or more years of experience in digital and local marketing and CRM programs. Preference will be given for prior experience in ISP, cable, or telecom industries. Special Qualifications: Possession of a valid Colorado Driver’s License. Spanish/English bilingual is not required, but is a plus.Digital and local marketing experience, either at an agency or in-house desired. A working knowledge of major trends in broadband internet is preferred. Experience with CRM, more specifically Salesforce, is strongly desired.

· Self-starter, results-oriented, attention to details, proactive, able to work independently as well as in a team is required.
· Requires Strong interpersonal skills, reporting skills, and organizational discipline.
· Budget management skills are required.
