POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Product Manager (APM) is a crucial role within the product management department. The APM will support the work of product managers by assisting in defining product requirements, objectives, and key results based on user needs and market research. This role plays a vital part in developing user stories, acceptance criteria, and annotating detailed product specifications. Although the APM role focuses on execution, the role requires an understanding of the end-to-end vision for a product and the impact is has on individual features. The APM will receive direction from more senior product managers; however, the APM owns the vision and success criteria for specific features(s) within a product’s/project’s scope.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Assisting Senior Product Managers: Work closely with senior product managers to support the development and execution of product strategies. This may involve conducting market research, analyzing customer feedback, and gathering insights to inform product decisions.
- Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Help gather and prioritize product requirements from various stakeholders including customers, internal teams, and market trends. Analyze these requirements to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for product improvements.
- Product Development and Roadmap Planning: Participate in product development processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as engineering, design, marketing, and sales to deliver products on time and within scope. Contribute to the creation of product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with company goals and market needs.
- User Experience and Design: Work closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and user-friendly product experiences. Provide input on design decisions, conduct usability testing, and iterate on product designs based on user feedback.
- Market Analysis and Competitive Research: Monitor market trends and conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats in the market. Keep abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies to help inform product decisions.
- Product Launch and Marketing Support: Assist with product launches by developing launch plans, coordinating marketing efforts, and supporting sales teams with product training and collateral.
- Performance Tracking and Analytics: Measure and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of product initiatives. Use analytics tools to gather insights, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations for product enhancements.
- Continuous Learning and Development: Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and evolving market trends. Actively seek opportunities for learning and professional development to enhance skills and contribute effectively to the product team.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position will have no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field is required.
SKILLS AND ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- 1+ years of experience working in product management roles.
- Drive to help create products and create success as part of a high performing team.
- Passionate about the customers and demonstrated experience at building a relationship with them.
- Experience interpreting customer needs and market trends.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in as fast-paced environment.
- Proven change agent and strategic thinker.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Power Bi, and SQL would be a plus.
- Proven track record of clear communications with senior managers and across cross-functional teams.
- Data-driven method for decision making using KPIs and metrics.
- Ability to achieve a thorough knowledge of all Noregon products as well as competitive product lines, pricing, and market activity.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple timelines.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.
- Ability to grow professionally in a fluid and fast-moving environment.
- Willingness to visit maintenance shops and gather customer feedback on products.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This is active role with at times on and off-site vehicle demonstration. This would require the ability to enter heavy-duty trucks in addition to standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, bending, and stooping as necessary.
- Basic motor skills and manual dexterity for extensive computer usage are required.
- Sitting for extended periods of time is required.
- Talking, hearing and close vision abilities are required.
- Ability to occasionally lift fifty pounds.
- Ability to withstand the stress of traveling, including extended hours driving.
