Vision: The Communications and Digital Advocacy Coordinator will support the organization in creating awareness, sharing knowledge, shaping attitudes and projecting the image of the organization.
The role is responsible for developing and coordinating CHH communications strategy. You will manage the organizations communications channels and digital platforms including email, website and social media, as well as preparing press releases, marketing materials and media. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CHH has increased our online work, including support and advocacy online for youth and adults, as well as the community overall.

The coordinator will maintain consistency in the organization’s messaging to our various audiences. This position reports to the Executive Director and works closely with other senior staff.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that social media requests are handled and ensure timely response
- Collaborate across programs on various communications projects to support the agency vision
- Support web-chat and other digital advocacy requests
- Coordinate creation, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic materials, including:
o Monthly e-newsletters for an external audience of other agencies, community partners, and supporters/donors
o Consistent and engaging postings and conversations on social media outlets, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube, as appropriate
o Serve as a content manager, writing, editing and posting new material on the organizational website while maintaining and updating the website with event announcements, photos, news articles, newsletters, press releases, etc.
o Marketing and development materials as needed o Event announcements, invitations, programs, and signage
- Submit regular reports on communications activities, engagement levels, and progress
- Work with leadership to identify media strategies and implement campaigns around key programs and issues, including monitoring media cycles and updating media lists
- Assist in continued development and enforcement of CHH’s Branding Guide across all programs and all internal and external communications outlets
- Work with senior leadership to develop a crisis communications plan and appropriate protocols especially as it relates to the survivor confidentiality
- Co-facilitate Communication Team Meetings and follow up
- Assist with other projects as needed
Desired skills/qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ work experience in non-profits, public health, education, or social services
- Experience affecting social change through community education
- Excellent presentation skills and communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong project management skills, including sharp attention to detail, the ability to multitask, prioritize, meet deadlines, and follow -up
- Bilingual in Spanish, Portuguese, or Khmer highly desired
A CORI, driver’s license, and access to transportation are required. Salary Range: $55,000- $60,000
