Role Mandate
Working with other members of the Product Development team and contributors from IIBA’s global community, the Junior Product Manager develops compelling and high value content to be published, packaged, and deployed in a digital format, as well as other formats, in support of IIBA’s strategic efforts to serve and engage members, support new membership growth, and advance the business analysis profession globally.
The Junior Product Manager will participate in content creation through the complete product lifecycle by identifying community needs, conducting market research, discovering product requirements, clarifying product specifications, and contributing to production timetables. Additional responsibilities include helping support marketing strategies, product launch plans, and launch activities.
Proven writing, and editing abilities are also important, as is a knack for distilling business analysis concepts for our global audience of business professionals. This person will need to build both external and internal relationships with multiple stakeholders to effectively evolve our products.

Accountabilities
The successful candidate will work with and provide support to our global community in the following areas:
Business Analysis Subject Matter Expertise:
- Provide knowledge on business analysis topics
- Monitor trends and new developments in the Discipline, Practices and Profession and help identify how they impact IIBA products
- Support the global busienss analysis community with product-related information to address their needs
Assess Community Needs:

Help determine product requirements through engagement and collaboration
- Help identify needs and requirements based on sound elicitation techniques and/or research with the global business analysis community
- Perform competitive research and analysis to identify gaps and potential for new IIBA products
- Recommend changes to existing products or services
Manage Existing Products:
-
Help evolve existing products by adding components.
- Help manage those components across the complete product lifecycle from conception to integration into our existing products
- Provide source data for product-related communications to support product marketing and communication objectives
- Help support appropriate marketing and sales strategies
- Identify product-related market data by engaging the global business analysis community and evaluating feedback
Create New Products:
- Help identify potential products to leverage opportunities and address challenges as identified through information elicitation activities and community engagement
- Help plan and market new products by developing integrated plans in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders
- Help manage product development working with key stakeholders and engaging volunteers, as needed
- Help launch products as planned, completing marketing and communications activities to support product launch
- Help create product information and support materials for IIBA members and Chapters
- Participate in discussions on social media in support of IIBA products, as needed
Skills and Experience

CCBA certification is required – if not currently certified, applicants must be able to become certified within one year of hiring
- Bachelor’s degree, college diploma in a business or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years working as a business analysis professional; experience working as a member of a product team would also e considered an asset
