Objective: This is an entry-level position assisting the Senior Programming Manager, maintaining and developing data driven business solutions. (Roanoke, VA)
Essential Functions

1. Assist on software development and maintenance of Arkay’s core Management System software (AMS).
2. Work on assigned AMS project request such as business reports, UI changes, bugs fixes, code templates or project tasks.
3. Support end users using AMSR (AMS user request Jira service management)
4. Track project issues and tasks using Jira-AMS (Jira Issue & Project Tracking Software)
5. Collaborate with team members using GitHub to create, store, change, merge, and collaborate with 4D code.
6. Train end users on AMS features.
7. Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users.
8. Keep current of technological developments in the software industry.
Required Education and Experience: Technical degree in computer science, bachelor’s degree in computer science or High school diploma/GED and 4 years of experience with any of this programing languages (4d, Java script, C#, C++, Java or other object orientated languages), plus some experience with SQL, Web Services, REST API integration, JSON, XML and Data Base Management Systems.
Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, 2+ years of experience with 4D programming language, SQL, Web Services, REST API integration, JSON, XML, GITHUB and Jira.

9. Excellent troubleshooting skills.
10. Must be neat, organized, energetic, and show initiative.
- Able to use basic office equipment, including scanner, copier, fax, printer & phone system.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work at a desk in a cubicle, surrounded by other employees and occasional travel to offsite offices. It is fast-paced and requires positive social interaction. The noise level in the work environment is low.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Extended schedules may be required.
Travel: Minimal travel is expected for this position.
