Sanky Communications, Inc., based in New York City, is dedicated to helping nonprofit organizations with their fundraising and marketing needs, integrating classic direct mail campaigns with digital and other fundraising programs.

We are looking for a detail-driven individual with strong multi-tasking skills to join our team as a Paid Search/SEM Manager. You will work with the Insights and Accounts teams, supporting them in launching and delivering SEM reports and data analysis for current and prospective clients. Duties will include monitoring marketing strategies and fundraising campaigns for several different nonprofit clients. Areas of focus include campaign management on Google Ads Paid and Grant accounts, Microsoft Advertising, and data compilation and analysis. This is a perfect opportunity for someone interested in SEM, and who is pursuing a career in the nonprofit sector.

Among other responsibilities, the Paid Search/SEM Manager will:

  • Be responsible for the management and optimization of SEM campaigns across 6-8 clients.
  • Manage the execution and performance of primarily search (but occasionally display and video advertising campaigns) through the full account management life cycle.
  • Develop annual media strategies for clients based on client budgets, goals, and KPIs to align all parties on the definition of success.
  • Oversee ongoing SEM efforts, review daily spends, assess performance, and suggest future campaign optimizations and strategies.
  • Monitor campaign progress using Google Analytics and/or other tools.
  • Effectively set, manage, and communicate SEM expectations internally/externally as needed.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure the day-to-day campaign management is both effectively and efficiently working.
  • Serve as a supporting player in kick-off meetings, client relationship management as appropriate, quarterly business planning, and strategy meetings.
  • Help review and proof SEM client reports with the Insights team to create accurate high-quality reports for clients.
  • Highlight insights from the quarterly reports to be used in strategy meetings and report narratives sent to clients.
  • Manage the Paid Search/SEM Intern as needed.
  • Accountable for helping train and coach junior staff as needed.
  • Use Sanky’s project management tool (Basecamp) to help coordinate with campaign activation and report production, ensuring internal teams are properly kept up to date on progress and that all communications are documented in the platform.
  • Remain current with industry trends, continually leveraging new tools and industry best practices to boost efficiency and effectiveness of campaigns

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of in-platform experience in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads is required. Once hired, the candidate will be trained and is required to become Google Ads Certified.
  • Detail-oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, extremely organized, analytical, and intellectually curious.
  • Strong data analysis abilities (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and statistical significance analysis).
  • A strong communicator, including the ability to clearly articulate thoughts and ideas and prepare documents that are coherent, grammatically correct, and professional.
  • A strong proofreader for both copy and data.
  • A fast learner, problem solver, and someone who loves a challenge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and comfortable communicating with senior staff and clients.
  • Experience with SEM tools such as SEMRush, Answer the public, etc. is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Google Looker Studio is a plus.  

Location: Remote. Sanky Communications has a remote office environment, and candidates will work from home (anywhere in the U.S.). All candidates are expected to work East Coast business hours. A computer will be supplied, and staff who work from home are expected to provide their own internet access. For NYC area candidates, the Sanky office in Midtown, New York City, is available for use.
