Job Overview:
Our client is hiring a Project Manager to help expand and maintain their diverse customer journey. The ideal candidate will have experience with client-facing IT Professional Services enterprise-level engagements, specifically in Networking, Business Communications, Security, Wireless, Desktop, Server Management, and Managed Services Onboarding.
The senior project manager will serve as the single point of contact for all enterprise-level projects and related activities, possessing high-touch delivery approach and exceptional stakeholder communication.
The senior project manager will also contribute to project management technology leadership by assisting with processes, and policies for continuous improvement of the PMO
Responsibilities:
- Ability to interface professionally with all levels of management to develop solid relationships with internal, customer and partner resources and serve as POC between internal teams and external resources throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work with presales team on requirements definition and lead assigned projects through deployment, by effectively managing scope, budget estimations, and schedule development, implementation plans, and risk mitigation.
- Work with Professional Services Resource Manager to assign the project team and work to manage team resources to ensure maximum performance
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, quality, and budget. Coach, mentor, and encourage project team members to take action and be accountable for their assigned work.
- Analyze project activities and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements are met.
- Maintain defined PMO processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks. Contribute feedback for continual process improvement.
- Update project status and reporting in PSA tool to provide full visibility of current project to internal stakeholders and management teams.
- Assist Professional Services Resource Manager with development of partnerships and maintain relationships with third-party resources, including vendors.
- Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, with or without direction as necessary, according to project work plan.
- Oversee project procurement management.
- Serve as Customer Success Manager as needed for MSP/NOC clients.
- Assist Project Management Office with development of standards and templates as needed.
- Provide mentorship for Associate and Intermediate PM team members.
- Act as a team lead for various Project Management Office initiatives.
- Advanced knowledge of project management applications (i.e. MS Project, Visio, and MS Office Suite).
Requirements:
- 5 or more years of managing enterprise level, client facing IT projects.
- 5 or more years of proven work experience in IT project management managing project concurrently.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant field
- Professional certification - PMI PMP
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to influence and direct team members across various functions, to accomplish project goals and objectives.
- Ability to maintain professional composure in all situations.
- Ability to adapt quickly and easily to changing priorities.
- Proven success working with all levels of management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
