We are looking for a Product Manager with expertise in building scalable distributed systems with a proven track record for driving end-to-end product development and adoption. This role requires a passion for customer experience and an ability to deeply collaborate with partner teams both internal and external to Microsoft.

You will define one or more success criteria of a feature. You’ll also identify short-term investment opportunities and engage partner support for a feature.

You will research customer & partner scenarios and industry trends, understand customer requirements, and translate them into viable product roadmaps, strategy, delivery plan and track execution.

You will drive end-to-end product development including new ideas, product specifications, user experience, price-performance model, go to market plan and growth initiatives to remove friction in the customer experience.

You will collect and analyze performance metrics and usage patterns to incrementally improve product development in specific areas. You’ll also learn to manage customer communities and help build trust with targeted customers.

You will help build marketing, roll-out, and customer support plans. You’ll also promote the feature you worked on and present at small events.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
- OR equivalent experience.

Experience working on or with one or more of the following:

High-performance network attached filers and filesystems.
-
On-premises SAN and NAS solutions.

Windows or Linux filesystems.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional / Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science AND 1+ years’ experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.

Experience in shipping large scale products to external customers

Analytical problem-solving, with ability to work with virtual teams through ambiguity.

Dependable, self-motivated, self-directed, and able to lead and motivate a high-energy team.

Technical background and foundation in software engineering principles and architecture design.

Knowledge of on-premises storage systems or storage performance is a plus.

Proficient in communication skills, both verbal and written.
Product Management IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,400 - $151,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $100,300 - $165,400 per year.
