The Formerly Incarcerated Convicted People and Families Movement (FICPFM) is a national network of over 50 civil and human rights organizations that are led by people who are living with criminal records, and their family members. Our network partners are committed to systems change work through voter advocacy, community stakeholder engagement, and grassroots organizing campaigns.
REPORTS TO: Development Director.
POSITION: Associate, Development. FICPFM seeks an efficient and highly organized individual to join our team. The person in this position will primarily provide administrative support to the FICPFM Communications Manager, and Development Director, to ensure that both departments work in a coordinated fashion to advance short and long-term communications and fundraising objectives. The person in this role will work to ensure efficiency, harmony, and workflow in a highly matrixed team.
Development Assistance:
- Work closely with the FICPFM Executive Team on development cultivation plans.
- Work across the organization to provide research assistance, including drafting reports.
- Offer support in scheduling meetings, including setting meeting agendas.
- Maintain constituent and supporter lists to ensure all contact information is up to date.
- Provide fundraising reports that track awards and funding disbursement dates.
- Assist in donation processing and acknowledgement letter drafts as needed.
- Assist with CRM data entry while continuously ensuring that the data is current.
- Play a key role in identifying national, regional, and state corporate sponsorship opportunities; conduct research and produce written reports on those findings.
- Assist with grant proposals and reports; maintain a grant application and reporting calendar.
Communications Assistance:
- Maintain a yearly events Calendar.
- Justice-related activity monitoring and reporting within the Quest for Democracy network.
- Assist with the creation of profiles and communications tool kits for various stakeholders.
- Assist the social media manager with content creation, scheduling, and follower engagement.
- Work with the social media manager to design visually appealing graphics and multimedia.
- Assist with the creation of content calendars to increased engagement and digital growth.
- Stay updated on best practices in fundraising, communications, social media, and graphic design.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work history.
- Has strong time-management skills, can prioritize tasks, and use sound judgment.
- High degree of discretion in handling confidential information.
- Proven ability to listen deeply, think proactively, and independently problem-solve.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient graphic design skills and familiarity with Canva.
