What we need :
The Product Owner, Annuity and Account Opening and Solutions role is responsible for product ownership of Annuity Servicing and Account Opening related capabilities, enabled via Cetera’s digital platform AdviceWorks®. Reporting to a Product Manager, this role owns user story and requirements documentation and solution design and execution for different features and functionality and will help drive the product strategy/roadmap in collaboration with product managers and business partners. Candidates need to possess a strong, integrated skillset that combines digital product development/ownership skills with business analyst skills. They should also be capable in leading and collaborating within a matrixed team structure and successfully delivering complex technology solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This individual will also play a key role in business process analysis, product testing, training & education, marketing/communications, go-to-market activities, and ongoing support related activities.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with financial professionals, members of their teams, and internal business partners to co-operatively design new features/enhancements for annuity servicing and account opening capabilities.
- Partner with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to analyze, understand, and document business needs and objectives. Develop features with an experience first mindset. Understand and drive improvements in end to end experience for financial professionals and staff.
- Gather and document requirements, write user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Construct user journey maps/flows, process flows, and other supporting visual and requirements documentation.
- Assist in the management of product roadmaps and backlog and make prioritization decisions based on business priorities, user feedback, and consumer and market needs.
- Partner with program/project management, user experience, development, and testing teams to execute and deliver against shared business objectives and delivery milestones.
Drive awareness and promote the usage of digital solutions by presenting and/or showcasing their value and benefits internally within the company, at conferences and events, and/or with prospective financial advisors/institutions.
What you need to have (basic qualifications):
- 5+ years of digital product management and/or related experience with financial advisor products/solutions with an emphasis on annuity purchases and servicing. Financial Services experience required and other vertical industries a nice to have.
- Experienced leader and/or influencer of people and distributed teams.
- Ability to be a thought leader and drive both the vision & strategy and the execution of a digital product/solution.
- Data and insight driven approach to understanding the marketplace, customer needs (end-consumer and financial professional), and competitor offerings.
- Proven ability to engage, collaborate, and engender trust with other teams (including user-experience and development teams).
- Lean/design thinking/user centered design approach to product vision, design, and roadmap management.
- Passion for following and understanding technology trends with the ability to understand how to take advantage of them from a product roadmap and innovation perspective.
Ability to understand technical subject matter and make informed decisions/trade-offs in partnership with application development and engineering teams.

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $132,000 - $167,000 plus competitive performance-based bonus. Compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. Compensation ranges may differ in differing locations due to cost of labor considerations.
