Job Requirements:
- B.S in Computer Science, software programming or related field preferred; or equivalent education and experience
- 3+ years Coordinate Measuring Machine experience
- Programming certifications are a plus
- Technical writing skills preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and specify measures
- Ability to multi-task
- Willing to take quality related classes as required, eg. SPC, TOPS, GR&R, etc.
- Usage of basic hand tools and shop tools.
- Able to train and mentor the QC CMM technicians
Job Description:
Coordinates and programs scripts that control the measures of coordinate machines, ensuring coordinate measuring machines work as intended and follow specific parameters designed for the project at hand.
- Observe and follow UNIPRES rules and regulations
- Maintain satisfactory work area through implementation of 5S
- Determine program requirements based on design and engineering requirements
- Follow different layouts to preview coordinate measuring machine work
- Write or edit programs for precision machinery
- Ensure that precision machinery is in working condition and properly calibrated
- Suggest improvements to calibration and programming tasks
- Record measurements to compare final product with project needs
- Operate machine, trouble-shoot and program different features as required
- Provide direction to machine operators
- Check fixtures and utilize gauge certification
- Develop cost reduction activities for scope of position within individual department.
- Lead by example, must demonstrate ability and willingness to perform a variety of duties with often changing priorities
- Will train and provide direction for CMM and Lab technicians at all locations when necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.95 - $34.64 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
