We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team. As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated systems to improve efficiency and productivity in our manufacturing processes. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement automated systems using Fanuc robots, distributed control systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation needs and develop solutions
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for automation projects
- Create detailed schematics and layouts for automation systems
- Program robots to perform specific tasks and optimize performance
- Troubleshoot and debug automation systems to ensure smooth operation
- Conduct root cause analysis for any issues or failures in the automation systems
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to perform preventive maintenance on automation equipment
- Train operators on the use and maintenance of automated systems
What we are seeking:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in designing and implementing automation systems in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of robotics, including Fanuc robots
- Experience with distributed control systems (DCS) and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings
- Solid understanding of robot programming languages
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis for system failures or issues
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software
