The US Army is on the forefront of implementing cutting-edge strategies for Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management in response to White House Executive Order 14028, aiming to fortify the security of software supply chains across all Federal agencies, including the Department of Defense. We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer with a specialization in AWS to join our dedicated team. This role is not just a job; it's a mission. You will serve as a senior Staff/Team member, driving initiatives across a broad spectrum of critical areas: from cloud strategy development and application rationalization to DevSecOps pipeline establishment and cybersecurity. Your expertise will also guide application and data migration, system administration, solutions architecture, and much more. With a focus on Agile methodologies, you will leverage your knowledge in Agile Document Management, Scrum, and Agile Governance to foster an environment of continuous learning and development. Your communication and presentation skills will be key in articulating complex technical concepts and driving forward our cloud engineering and cybersecurity efforts. This role requires a Secret clearance. While primarily virtual, the ideal candidate should be within commuting distance of Aberdeen, MD. Responsibilities:
- Serve as a senior Staff/Team member on cloud strategy development.
- Engage in application development and rationalization.
- Manage configuration and business process analysis.
- Establish and maintain DevSecOps pipelines.
- Ensure information assurance and compliance with cybersecurity standards.
- Contribute to solutions architecture, systems analysis, and engineering.
- Perform system administration tasks, including application and data migration.
- Lead cybersecurity efforts, including test and evaluation.
- Oversee system cutover and project management activities.
- Manage data/records and sustain cloud environment management.
Qualifications:
- Proven knowledge of Agile Document Management and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in Agile Governance.
- Strong background in Learning & Development Application Cloud Engineering SDL.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Willingness to be located within commuting range of Aberdeen, MD.
- Comfortable working in a primarily virtual environment.
