Overview:
The Social Media Manager will be a key player in the 'Buss for America' campaign, responsible for developing and executing a robust social media strategy that amplifies our message, engages supporters, and expands our digital footprint. This role requires an innovative and agile individual who understands the power of social media in political campaigns and can effectively leverage various platforms to maximize impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the campaign's goals and messaging.
- Utilize analytics to inform strategy and adapt to changing trends and audience behaviors.
- Content Creation and Management:
- Create engaging, informative, and shareable content tailored to each social media platform.
- Manage the campaign's social media calendar and ensure consistent posting across platforms.
Audience Engagement:
- Foster an active online community by engaging with followers, responding to comments, and encouraging dialogue.
- Utilize social listening tools to understand audience sentiment and respond to emerging trends or concerns.
Digital Campaign Integration:
- Collaborate with other campaign teams, such as communications and digital, to ensure cohesive messaging and campaign integration.
- Support broader digital marketing initiatives, including email campaigns and website content.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze social media metrics to assess performance and impact.
- Provide regular reports on social media activities and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing social media platforms in a professional setting, preferably in a political or advocacy campaign.
- Strong content creation skills, with an ability to craft messages that resonate with diverse audiences.
