The Role Overview:
The Senior Controls & Automation Engineer is responsible for leading controls efforts for the projects they are assigned. As a Senior Control & Automation Engineer, you will work closely with other Controls & Automation Engineers, Project Managers and Process Engineers to advance projects from the design phases through commissioning.
Main Responsibilities would include:
Electrical schematic and panel enclosure drawings; Selecting and creating purchase order requests for control hardware and field devices; Specifying and subcontracting control panels; Minor assembly of control panels; PLC and HMI programming and integration; Control panel checkout; Controls commissioning and startup of DSI equipment; Assisting and mentoring other team members with their work as needed.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, promoting a balance between remote and in-office work. Up to 25% travel is required. We appreciate all applications; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related Associate Degree and equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley ControlLogix & Rockwell Software FactoryTalk View Platforms
- Basic CAD skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to climb stairs and work on ladders/lifts
- Ability to work with various tools and instruments
- Ability to work from laptop and phone
- Eligible to work in the USA
- Up to 25% Travel is required (roughly 25% travel schedule)
