As a Software Developer at SportifyLabs, you will be responsible for contributing to and maintaining open-source projects that align with our mission and values. You will work in collaboration with the open-source community and our internal development team to enhance, optimize, and extend open-source software to meet specific project requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to work on projects that drive innovation and positive change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the open-source community to identify and prioritize issues and feature requests.
- Write, test, and maintain code for this project.
- Contribute to documentation and assist users with troubleshooting and technical support.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in open source software and technology.
- Maintain a strong commitment to open source principles, including transparency, collaboration, and community engagement.
- Maintain continuous integration and deployment features.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as an open source contributor, with a strong portfolio of open source projects.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in open source development (e.g., Python, JavaScript, C++, Go).
- Familiarity with open source development tools and platforms (e.g., GitHub, GitLab).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in distributed and diverse teams.
- Understanding of open source licensing and intellectual property principles.
- Passion for open source software and a desire to make a positive impact through collaborative development.
