We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced software engineer to join our small IT department supporting, extending, and innovating the technology platforms of a growing food distributor.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain software applications for our food distribution, shipping, receiving, warehouses, and direct contact sales environment.
- Collaborate with the IT team and other departments to define, design, and implement software solutions.
- Ensure timely delivery of software projects, adhering to agreed-upon quality standards and project timelines.
- Maintain and improve existing software systems, as well as design and develop new features and applications.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a software engineer or software developer.
- At minimum: C#, SQL Server, XAML, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, concurrent programming.
- Extras/ideals: NetSuite, Android, WPF, Xamarin, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Blazor, and Azure services.
- Experience with SDLC practices including continuous integration & delivery and work planning are a major plus.
- Strong understanding of web technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, and JSON.
- Experience with highly-scalable web applications and back-end infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Experience with software development tools, source code control (Git), object-relational mappers, and dependency injection patterns.
- Familiarity with client-side frameworks such as jQuery, Angular, or React.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure Web Apps.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fledgling, fast-growing, reactive environment.
This is a Full Time, In-Office position.
