Hill’s pet parent and veterinary ecosystems are rapidly evolving in our increasingly digital world. As the leading division at Colgate Palmolive for both digital and eCommerce, Hill’s needs to continue to strengthen our digital ecosystems to be available when and how pet parents and VHCT (veterinary health care teams) are looking and engaging with us.
This role will support the Hill’s US Digital Transformation Director by owning the digital strategy and experience for specific Hill’s professional-facing digital platforms. The role will liaise with Global Marketing, eCommerce and brand marketing colleagues across the Hill’s business as the business-side Product Manager for HillsVet.com and Hill’s Retail Order, two key products for our professional partners.
As we work to roll out continuous upgrades to our vet digital ecosystem to deliver a simple, easy-to-do-business-with suite of tools that enable more recommendations of Hill’s products around the world, maintaining the vision and delivery of evolving capabilities across our systems will be an essential part of this work. This role is an exciting opportunity to help lead and manage the evolution and growth of our owned digital presence for years to come.

Product Owner - Strategy
Act as chief revenue officer for specific digital product(s) at Hill’s
Refine product strategy and roadmap
Sets business + technology goals for the product
Collaborate with Commercial team and IT to create multi (3+) year road map for product capability across regions, ID gaps in resource needs (if applicable)
Acts as primary point of contact for global IT resource planning and queue prioritization
Lead bimonthly steering committee meetings
Ensure experience and design consistent with Hill’s brand and legal requirements

Insights & Analytics
Establish and regularly review key KPIs for usage efficacy of tool - where measurement does not exist, work with local teams and CMI/Analytics to establish a plan to begin measuring regularly.
Uses data to develop insights and support strategy, data led decision maker
Establish and regularly update, review and present key KPIs for usage efficacy of tool
Align to Hill’s US CX measurement framework

Professional Coordination & Activation (10%)
Coordinate and optimize with our marketing, field sales and Professional Veterinary Affairs teams for major initiatives, launches or similar opportunities to drive the best adoption and engagement in the pet industry.
Strategically leverage the platform as a great test-and-learn with the profession on these offerings, including the possibility of first-to-know and first-to-try opportunities.
Focus intently on delivering the best experience possible between Hill’s and the B2B, professional audience. Explore opportunities to use the platform to more broadly support company profession-facing initiatives like quantified health, connected health, new business models, wearables and better connect ourselves with professionals on a personal and digital level.

Governance and Training
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure uninterrupted provision of product data to product instances in an automated fashion.
Establish cadence of data audit/review with cross-functional teams
Lead efforts to create and maintain training resources for both internal and external stakeholders.
Leads development and sharing of tool best practices
Remain connected with in-person Hill’s Professional activities (conferences, tours, etc.) and personnel, utilizing our data - when possible - to enhance their personal engagement. Conferences and continuing education where needed.

Education/ Experience Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business or Technology
5+ years of experience
Preferred 2+ years experience in managing a team

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $115,200.00 - $163,000.00 USD
Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.
