Five Star Mechanical is looking for an innovative, creative, and detailed individual to join a fast-growing team of six installers and technicians. This individual will work with team members, building owners, other engineers, and contractors to design, estimate, program, integrate, commission, and document simple to complex building automation systems.

Our team of over 100 HVAC service techs, plumbers, pipefitters, sheet metal works, and controls specialists, are poised to handle any service or mechanical construction needs. Responsibilities would include:
-Design, program, document and assist with the implementation of building automation systems.
-Building and maintaining a library of drawings, drawing stencils, programming modules, and documentation to help streamline the submittal process, installation, and final documentation of projects.
-Support the estimating process by providing technical insight into the design, and device/product selection of the proposed control system.
-Support other team members, in any technical aspects and implementation of the designed system.

· Ability to interact and communicate with clients, vendors, contractors, and other team members in a respectable manner is a must.
· You may be working alone for long periods of time with multiple tasks that need to be completed within a specific deadline. Dependability, self-motivation, and good organizational skills are a must.
· Must have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. With the ability to quickly isolate, identify, and resolve technical problems.
· Must be flexible with the ability to move from one task to another without losing focus on providing the highest level of service and product quality.
· Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and standards.
Technical Skills
- 4-year degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering or a two-year degree in electronics, electrical, or industrial controls with at least 4 years of experience in the design and implementation of building controls.
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Strong and complete knowledge of HVAC and Mechanical systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of low voltage system design, installation, and troubleshooting.
-Proficient skills with computer drafting software. Experience with Microsoft Visio is preferred but not required.
-Experience and familiarity with line, block, and ladder logic programming languages. Reliable Controls RC-Basic is a huge plus but not required.
-Knowledge and understanding of simple IP-based network topology.
- Experience with BACnet, Modbus, and other building automation protocols is a plus but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: 75k to 100k annually. Dependent on experience.

Schedule:
- Monday through Friday 8-hour shift
- Occasional evenings and weekends.
- Most work is within 25 miles of the Wichita area with occasional projects that may require overnight travel.
