ROLE SUMMARY
The US Rare Endocrine franchise is one of the most rapidly growing businesses across Pfizer Biopharma, with 15% 3-year CAGR, and accelerated by the most recent breakthrough launch of Ngenla and total net revenue potential of $400M.
The US Endocrine Patient Marketing Director will play a critical role supporting patients and caregivers access across the entire Rare Endocrine franchise. The Director will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team to develop the Consumer strategy and execution of various omnichannel tactics for the commercialized portfolio (Somavert, Genotropin, Elelyso), and the most recent launch of Ngenla.
The role will require the ability to identify and understand drivers of consumer behavior, develop meaningful insights and create compelling strategies to influence consumer behavior. The ideal candidate will have high learning agility and demonstrated prior success in leading key marketing and strategic initiatives.
Given the dynamic nature of the endocrine franchise and the recent launch of Ngenla, this role requires a creative, adaptable and strategic colleague who is comfortable with marketing frameworks and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. While this role does not have direct reports, this colleague will be responsible to indirectly manage and coach one senior manager on the team.
This position reports to the Rare Disease Endocrine Marketing Lead.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Key role responsibilities include:
- Lead strategy, development, and execution for all Consumer marketing initiatives across the Endocrine portfolio, including agency management, annual strategic, tactical, and operating plan, budget, and day to day marketing activities
- Lead omnichannel Consumer engagement strategy and execution to drive product activation and ensure optimal optimized marketing mix
- Lead digital and social patient awareness and engagement strategy and tactical execution inclusive of sharing patient experiences
- Partner with the Media Lab and creative agency to develop innovative media plans and creative assets; ensure insights, messaging and creative opportunities are maximized across the media mix
- Drive brand’s patient-facing DEI and innovation strategies utilizing outlets such as integrated partnerships, sponsorships, and targeted media plans
- Champion innovation through partnership with the CMO and seek learnings from other brands and industries to innovate our approach.
- Collaborate closely with marketing team colleagues and cross functional team members including Global Marketing, Patient Advocacy Team, and BAI.
- Team player and active contributor to a strong team culture
- Indirectly manage Endocrine Senior Manager responsible for Consumer tactics
- Conduct all responsibilities in accordance with Company policies, with a strong adherence to our Values including compliance
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS degree required, MBA preferred
- 8-10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, including 3+ years of US marketing required
- Previous product launch and in-line US Marketing experience preferred
- Rare disease or specialty experience preferred
- Experience in consumer marketing strategy; digital as well as more traditional communication channel tactics
- Agency or vendor management experience
- Track record of innovation, leadership and significant contribution to the growth of brands
- Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs, extract key insights, and translate these into meaningful strategies and in market results
- Strong business acumen including demonstrated strategic marketing and analytical thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver results on multiple, complex, competing projects in a deadline-oriented environment
- Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $149,200.00 to $248,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
