The Software QA Engineer, based in Frisco, TX, will provide quality assurance for the development, operations, and maintenance of HITRUST service and product lines. The Software QA Engineer will work closely with the product development team to provide accurate problem analysis, short-term fixes and recommended enhancements and testing. In this role, you will be required to interact with multiple divisions within HITRUST to resolve issues.
Job Functions:

Examine production software and perform ongoing testing and analysis of performance, experience, and security requirements.

Examine developed software and perform testing and analysis of performance, experience, and security requirements.

Define and document product testing and acceptance procedures following established best practices, including automated and manual methods.

Coordinate with product development teams to resolve identified issues.

Examine support cases for improvement opportunities to all product lines.

Review and contribute to knowledge-based articles, FAQs, and How-To documentation for new or changed feature sets.

Be familiar with customer administration tasks in MyCSF and other HITRUST applications.

Utilize office productivity suite software to perform common management functions relating to job performance, in addition to updating or reviewing existing documentation.

Be familiar with the overall customer support environment, and coordinate with other support positions and customers.
Requirements

4-year degree or equivalent experience/certification in lieu of education.

Must have excellent analytical, written, and organizational skills and the ability to perform detail-oriented work.

Familiarity with software development lifecycle and quality assurance methodologies.

Great communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

Must be ambitious, have strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

Demonstrated strength in verbal and written communication.
Nice To Have

Experience using software development issue resolution/tracking software.

Knowledge of STLC and SQA methodology.

Experience in automated and manual software evaluation (SDLC).
