Looking to build the next great digital product for Dungeons & Dragons®? We are looking for a hardworking, inspirational, and creative Software Engineer - Web to join our team in bringing D&D to life! You will work with multiple groups to help deliver a unified player experience in the Dungeons and Dragons digital ecosystem.

Collaborate with engineers and partners throughout D&D's various digital teams to create story-telling technologies.

Build backend services to support new features in the Sigil VTT.

Build solutions using the latest web technologies including React, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML5.

Develop technical integration plans between Sigil and D&D Beyond

Contribute to a healthy engineering culture by collaborating on code reviews and authoring tests.

Document touch points and help build team-wide proficiency in D&D's codebases.

2+ years of professional software development experience.

Professional experience with .NET Core and C#

Experience working with both relational (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres) and non-relational databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB).

Experience with Next.js and/or Node.js.

Knowledge of accessibility web standards (WAI-ARIA, WCAG).

Constructive and inquisitive communication skills with diverse groups of people in various roles.

Ability to conduct effective requirements gathering and analysis.

Willingness to help diagnose and resolve technical problems as they arise.

Passion to design and write clean, maintainable code in C# and Javascript

Strong understanding of Client/Server architecture.

Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and containerization products like Docker.

A passion for collaborative story telling and role playing games such as D&D.

Experience administering and supporting live running games as a service

Starting Pay Range: $100,880
