Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will be adept at keeping projects on track, proactively engaging with team members, and ensuring no project loses momentum. A significant part of the role involves working with domestic and overseas suppliers, especially in China, necessitating evening and night-time communication. This role may involve travel abroad.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring each project achieves its milestones and objectives.
- Actively ensure project continuity from conceptualization to completion, pushing projects forward and maintaining constant communication with involved parties.
- Manage projects that involve coordination with suppliers both domestically and overseas, with a focus on China. Flexibility for evening and night communication is required.
- Directly engage in the hands-on assembly and refinement of prototypes for new Faraday products, utilizing skills in tinkering and experimentation.
- Oversee the development of prototypes for new products, ensuring adherence to design specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of proposed product concepts, considering market needs, technical challenges, and resource availability.
- Coordinate testing phases for prototypes, including both in-house and external testing environments.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and cost-effective procurement.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and performance standards.
- Stay updated with industry regulations and standards, adapting product designs as necessary.
- Conduct post-launch reviews to gather feedback and assess product performance in the market.
- Lead iterative improvements for existing products based on customer feedback and evolving market needs.
- Utilize experience with Chinese suppliers to enhance project outcomes, leveraging this expertise to improve supplier relations and project efficiency.
- Provide support on various projects, ensuring thorough follow-up, questioning, and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage projects from inception to completion, including tasks such as finding suppliers, negotiating prices, producing product samples, overseeing bulk production, and updating products over time.
- International travel may be required
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven project management experience, particularly in product development and international supplier relations.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools a bonus (like Agile, Scrum, or PMBOK), with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across different time zones.
- Experience in working with Chinese suppliers is highly desirable.
- Skills in managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and understanding supply chain logistics.
- Experience working with textile product manufacturing, bag manufacturing, machining, metal components and prototyping a bonus
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field preferred.
Reporting Structure:
This position will report to: VP Operations
Location and Work Hours:
- This is an on-site position.
- Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, with flexibility required for international communication.
