SUMMARY:
The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Data Specialist will drive search optimization for both web and mobile. This position will own and oversee SEO strategy and be part of the day-to-day execution and maintenance, including keyword research, analysis, portfolio management, and opportunity analysis. They will work closely with the Development, I.T., Brand, Content, Analytics, Technical and Product teams, and key stakeholders to communicate technical details and explain tactics and execution as well as clarifying, interpreting, and implementing, strategic organic search concepts, advancing the channel goals and overall business objectives. The SEO Strategist will be responsible for the ongoing reporting of performance and evolution of the SEO strategy as well as ideation, creation, maintenance of SEO KPI’s and ensuring those KPIs are achieved and align with BendPak’s vision and mission. Employing a data-driven prioritization framework, they are skilled at analyzing metrics to understand and communicate our performance to internal and external teams.
Your ability to contribute to cross-functional web and mobile initiatives, provide meaningful insights and recommendations to protect or improve rankings, deliver on-page recommendations, review proposed site changes, and perform meaningful analysis in traffic shifts will be instrumental to the success of this role. You must have a solid understanding of the relationship between different digital marketing channels and SEO. You must also have an in-depth knowledge of keyword research, SEO copywriting, and the behaviors of search engines. This role will require a keen understanding of behavioral analytics, as well as a familiarity with absorbing and translating data into a palatable strategy for the team. This position also requires the knowledge of algorithmic evolutions as well as changing nature of social media platforms as they relate to SEO.

- Responsible for overseeing strategy and day-to-day execution of local SEO implementation.
- Perform keyword and search trend research to optimize existing content, identify gaps, and uncover new opportunities for improving organic search rankings and driving targeted traffic; educate writers and editors on SEO implementation best practices.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and optimize content that aligns with keyword strategies and attracts relevant traffic.
- Monitor and report on keyword rankings, organic traffic, and other key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of SEO efforts.
- Day-to-day execution of organic SEO campaigns including keyword research, content gap recommendations, strategic optimization of existing content, competitor analysis, and site improvements.
- Conduct SWOT competitive analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats for organic search rankings in comparison to other websites and competitor websites.
- Develop and implement SEO strategies to increase visibility, rankings, and organic traffic for BendPak family websites and domains.
- Identify opportunities for traffic growth via on-site efforts such as site structure improvements, performance optimization, new page features, schema enhancements, internal linking strategy, crawlability, keyword cannibalization, and gap identification.
- Manage SEO campaigns including writing meta content, creating SEO-friendly content, creating target keyword lists, improving site URL structure, improving link architecture, etc.
- Work with dev team to implement technical SEO best practices.
- Conduct site-wide SEO audits, technical audits, content audits, competitive analysis, and traffic performance analysis on an ongoing basis to identify issues and areas for improvement and report on findings.
- Serve as an in-house expert, by educating colleagues and evangelizing and advocating for SEO best practices throughout the organization and building SEO into cross-departmental processes.
- Keep pace with SEO, search engine, social media and internet marketing industry trends and development.
- Utilize reporting and analysis tools to generate reports that track and communicate the business impact of SEO initiatives.
- Partner with the Marketing team to align on SEM/SEO strategy.
- Identify innovative SEO opportunities to improve overall crawlability and user experience at both the site level and page level.
- Develop strategies and practices for internal linking our pages at scale.
- Review and optimize new and existing page templates, website content, including landing pages, blog articles, marketing pages, and service pages, to improve search engine rankings and user engagement.
- Manage and direct off-page optimization projects (e.g. link-building)
- Conduct regular on-page and off-page SEO audits to ensure compliance with best practices and search engine guidelines.
- Analyze performance of organic pages and craft reporting strategy, developing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, and communicating this analysis and findings to relevant internal groups.
- Work closely and meet regularly with, developers, copywriters, product marketing managers, designers, dev product managers, IT, and external agencies to improve current web pages, create new ones and to ensure current and accurate content.
- Write and curate copy for all posts/stories in alignment with each brand site's style and voice.
- Review and revise all article copy to optimize them for search, approve and manage SEO content created by Copywriters.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues that may impact website performance and search engine rankings, such as broken links or slow loading times.
- Develop performance dashboard and analytics metrics and KPIs; deliver project analysis, monthly recaps, and other routine reports.
- Leverage AI-generative tools and automation to streamline SEO workflows and accelerate output.
- Own the development and execution of a technical SEO roadmap.
- Creating Standard Operating Procedures(SOP’s) to document current and new SEO processes.
- Create guidelines for each brand's social media presence, defining brand voice, tone, and design standards.
- Stay on top of key trends, algo updates, and the latest best practices around Helpful Content, E-E-A-T, and Google SGE and help the team prepare for upcoming changes.
- Create optimization action plans for our websites and domains.
- Monitor and analyze website performance using SEO tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console, to identify areas for improvement and track progress.
- Identify and resolve technical SEO issues, such as crawl errors, broken links, and website speed optimization, to enhance the overall user experience.
- Collaborate with web developers to implement SEO recommendations and ensure website updates adhere to SEO standards.
- Provide SEO recommendations and guidance for website design, structure, and content creation for new initiatives and campaigns.
- Collaborate with external vendors or agencies, as needed, to execute specialized SEO initiatives.
- Create and develop SEO initiatives for our brands, company websites, and online marketing content.
- Set up, implement, and maintain Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Search Console on the websites.
- Work with International teams to share insights and learnings to improve performance in key international markets.

- Reviews all content on social media accounts (Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook, etc. to ensure compliance with SEO best practices.
- Identify key dates and events for targeted programming and offerings.
- Set social media strategy in collaboration with the Executive Management, Marketing and Sales teams.
- Execute social media campaigns, collaborating with Marketing team and content creators to capture creative content, including videos and photos.
- Assist in creating design assets for social media such as flyers, custom stories, etc., and oversee and lead the creation of social media graphics and assets with designers as needed.
- Work with influencers and creators to support creating video content and content to be used across social channels is compliant with SEO best practices and BendPak’s SEO goals and objectives.
- Oversee the creation, development, and management of email marketing campaigns and automated flows for multiple brands, ensuring alignment with each brand’s audience and business objectives.
REQUIREMENTS AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
· High School diploma required, college degree preferred, BS or BA in Marketing, English, Communication, or another related field, or equivalent experience.
· 3 + years with hands-on experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) with proven results with a track record of successfully improving organic search rankings and driving traffic.
· 3+ years of proven digital market research, online campaign management, digital promotions, lead generation.
· 3+ years implementing SEO & SEM plans for high value B2B and B2C solutions with large sets of landing pages & high trafficked websites in a highly competitive vertica1.
· 3+ years of proven hands-on Search Engine Marketing (SEM) experience.
· 3+ years of experience using WordPress or related content management systems (CMS).
· 3+ years of proven hands on Pay-per-click advertising (PPC) experience.
· 3+ years of proven hands-on Google Adwords experience.
· 3+ years of hands-on Digital Analytics and Reporting | Google Analytics experience.
· 3+ years of hands-on Copywriting experience.
· 3 + years of experience with a range of SEO tools and services such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Bing Webmasters, Botify, Ahrefs, Screamingfrog, ChatGPT, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, seoClarity, Moz, Google Keyword Planner, etc.

· You have a well-rounded skillset across all SEO functions (technical, content, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building) and have strong expertise in technical SEO and SEO analytics.
· You are a data-driven decision maker. You have strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, identify actionable insights from large datasets and translate that data into action.
· Expert using analytical tools(Basic SQL, Querybook, PowerBI, Tableau knowledge, MS Excel) to analyze extensive data, develop effective strategies, and communicate findings effectively to leadership.
· Experience creating or implementing SEO requirements for website builds or redesigns is a big plus.
· Must be able to type a minimum of 45WPM.
