ELANTAS PDG (EPDG) is looking for a Product Manager to join our team in supporting the ELANTAS North American locations. It is based at our St. Louis, MO offices and is eligible for remote work up to two days per week.
This is an ideal position for someone with Product Managment experience who is also interested in growing their experience and advancing their career path. Will report to Business Line Director and will be given ample opportunity to grow in their own strengths and interests.
Position Summary
The Product Manager - Electrical will have responsibility for the existing and future product line for the electrical business line. This includes full product lifecycle management of the product portfolio - optimizing and modifying existing products, identifying gaps and opportunities, defining new products, and retiring products from the market.
In partnership with the Business Line Director, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the strategy and go-to-market plans for the product portfolio – including pricing, packaging, positioning, and promotional activities. The Product Manager will be responsible for the tactical execution of the product plans and work closely with Technical, Marketing, and Sales partners to ensure product training and market messaging supports the business line strategy and goals. This includes ownership of sales and customer-facing print and digital materials for existing and new products – for example, Technical Data Sheets (TDSs), Training Materials, and Sales Brochures.
In partnership with Sales and Technical peers, the incumbent will evaluate market and customer-specific opportunities to define and develop new products for addition to the product portfolio. This involves gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirement, assessing the market landscape, and evaluating competitive offerings to define requirements. Throughout the stage gate process, the Product Manager will work closely with Technical partners through commercialization of the product offering.
Acting as a strong steward for the product and brand, this individual will work both internally and externally to communicate the product vision. The successful incumbent will require keen organizational skills and strong cross-functional collaboration with Commercial, Technology, Operations, Quality, Finance, EHS and other cross functional teams to ensure product revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director – Business Line in developing the annual marketing plans, including review and analysis of product profitability, competitive landscape assessment, and market pricing evaluation.
- Coordinates development work with Director – Business Line and Technology, including new product design, optimization, and production and participate in Design Review meetings.
- Own and manage the process & procedure for creating, revising, tracking, and storing Product TDSs in cooperation with BLM, Technical Service, Marketing and EH&S.
- Coordinates with Quality Assurance to ensure product specifications, customer specifications and critical characteristics are clearly defined and are within our capabilities for all documentation.
- Own and manage the process and procedure for product consolidation, discontinuation, formula revisions and name changes. This includes ensuring the new substance and product IDENTs are set up within SAP and product naming is aligned with product and brand standards.
- Serve as a member of the QMAT team to collaborate with Quality and Technical Service by providing information and coordinate activities for internal and external product specifications, customer specifications and requirements as necessary.
- Participate in customer and prospect visits, trade association activities, and conferences to further understand market trends and new product requirements in the interests of ELANTAS across the Electrical business line.
- Assist the organization to create a safe and healthy working environment by working safely and immediately reporting any unsafe working practices or hazardous working conditions.

- Meets Revenue, volume and margin objectives as set in the annual Long-Range Plan (LRP) for EL Business Line.

Position Requirements:
Qualification, knowledge and experience
- 4-year bachelor’s degree in related discipline (preferably Marketing or Chemistry) or minimum of 3-5 yrs. product management related experience.
- Requires strong knowledge of chemistry and product management principles.
- Experience with SAP preferred.
- Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Proven ability to use analytical skills and critical thinking to diagnose business issues and incorporate into development or adjustment of marketing plans.
