JOB OVERVIEW:
Working within brand standards, the Cavco Content Producer is a creative storyteller responsible for overseeing and creating unique and compelling content for publication across online, digital and print platforms. Their duties include developing and promoting our brand, service, culture and product through the various digital content they produce, participating in meetings with management and marketing communications department team members to understand internal culture and growth, identify business objectives and learn more about Cavco’s product offerings tyo strategically create content that meets those objectives within a given time-frame.
The primary duties include creating and driving a plan for producing content, enforcing a schedule, pursuing stories and allocating resources. As a Content Manager at Cavco, you’ll get to create content that shares our story and vision, promotes our brand and makes an impact across many different platforms. More specifically, you’ll get to:
- Own the content calendar, ideating and driving the creation of internal and external content across the organization
- Write, edit and publish content for websites, blogs, videos, social media posts/campaigns, email campaigns, podcasts, e-books, whitepapers, press releases and more
- Pursue and create content that motivates, inspires, educates, informs, sells, and simply provides information, across a wide variety of digital platforms
- Grow a team of writers and work closely with the marketing department to produce compelling content that generates results
- Develop and maintain robust relationships with managers across companies and divisions to facilitate the flow of stories and information for stories and information
- Use your editing, content management, and basic HTML skills to publish and edit content across various digital platforms
- Use your knowledge of SEO and content development to create digital content that helps us get found via search engines, and showcases our company as a leader within the industry
- Become an influencer who makes an impact on the company and within the industry through the production of digital content
- Researching and staying up to date on the latest developments in terms of search engine optimization, content trends and consumer behavior
- Updating older content to meet new content standards
- Ensuring consistency across all content, from websites to social media channels and videos
- Maintaining a calendar of project deadlines and content launch dates
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, public relations, advertising or a related field
- 5+ years of content marketing or communications experience, including managing other writers or freelancers.
- Portfolio of recent writing examples showing long and short-form content, web copy, product messaging and/or emails.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Proficient in Office 265 environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive)
- Social Media Management: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Flickr, etc.
- Sharepoint experience
- Content Calendar experience
- Strong prioritization, organization and project management skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with teams and collaborate
- Time management and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working in a fast-paced corporate and/or agency environment
- Experience managing company intranet and integrating company culture into stories, posts, etc.
- Corporate level real estate/construction/retail industry experience is a plus
