Under the direction of the Visual Arts Program Lead, the Digital Media Program Aide will provide support and assistance and be at the front-line for member safety and well being. The Program Aide will translate mission, policy and REACH practice into direct application for members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in developing digital media curriculum per semester for members (Elementary, Middle & High School) with integrated implementation of R.E.A.C.H.*
- Collaborate with APCH departments to produce original & creative APCH member-made videos & photos
- Produce and provide support for member created material, including photography, videos, film shorts, assist with computer support, including web design and game design, and other duties
- Produce and provide support for member-made videos focused on celebrating cultural diversity, national holidays, and special APCH events
- Update and maintain APCH YouTube Channel
- Supervise members during scheduled early supervision and homework time as assigned
- Track and input member attendance on a daily basis
- Track member participation and progress in classes
- Provide supervision for the computer lab during classes and open lab times
- Conduct pre and post R.E.A.C.H. evaluations for students
- Create a fun, educational & clean learning environment for all members
- Write Digital Media articles & stories for APCH Newsletters & Board reports
- Responsible for daily maintenance of Digital Media Lab and assignment of student Mac laptops, PCs, cameras, computer & camera peripherals
- Reports computer maintenance, upgrades, and software concerns in a timely matter
Other Responsibilities
- Remain informed of best practices, software updates, and resources in order to keep APCH technology up to date and in excellent working condition
- Attend internal or external meetings as requested or required
- Regular attendance, accountability and punctuality with regard to work meetings and commitments
- Perform other tasks as assigned

Education/Training/Experience
Degree: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
1 year experience working with youth, preferably in digital media
