Department Function: IFF’s Marketing team strengthens business development efforts enterprise-wide and regionally. The department helps identify and nurture several sources of lead generation through segmentation, targeting, and positioning.

Basic Job Function
The Marketing & Outreach Manager is responsible for developing effective strategies that leverage IFF's relationships with key influencers in the target audience to generate referral sources for the company's core business solutions. Success in this role is measured by the quality and growth of leads generated from key influencers, networking events, partnerships, and opportunities resulting from IFF memberships. In addition, the Marketing & Outreach Manager contributes to the execution of marketing efforts that increase awareness of IFF in the Midwest and connect potential clients to Capital Solutions (CapSol) and Real Estate Solutions (RES) products and services.
The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced marketing professional who possesses excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills. They have a deep understanding of business development goals and activities and can work cross-functionally with various stakeholders. They approach their work with an organized, collaborative, and results-oriented attitude and strive for success in all their endeavors.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Membership management: Track, analyze, and leverage the benefits of IFF's existing memberships to raise local brand awareness and generate networking opportunities with key influencers, such as nonprofit associations, nonprofit consultants, and key nonprofit sectors. This includes leading recurring meetings with local teams to support business development efforts connected with IFF's membership events and channels, establishing strong relationships with partners, and creating targeted marketing plans based on the membership benefits.
2. Business development support at conferences and networking events: Plan, support, and guide staff participation at annual conferences and networking events to streamline processes, raise IFF's brand awareness and leverage regional business development efforts through marketing strategies to attract potential customers and generate referral sources. Success in this role is measured by qualitative and quantitative metrics related to marketing outreach and business development support for each event.
3. Conferences and membership database, process, and budget: Build, review, and ensure understanding and adherence to existing standard operating procedure (SOP) for event participation and sponsorship; manage the database of upcoming events and existing memberships by region; manage budget related to events and associations and generate quarterly reports to demonstrate the return on investment for conferences, memberships, and events.
4. Promotional plans: Plan, execute, and measure multi-channel promotional campaigns to leverage IFF's event participation, sponsorships, webinars, and cross-branded partnerships, to increase visitors to the organization's website, engagement of followers on social media accounts, and inquiries related to Capital Solutions and Real Estate Solutions products and services. This work will involve utilizing existing templates, as well as adept and creative use of digital platforms and channels, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Mailchimp, and social media.
5. Market research and target audience analysis: Conduct market research and share findings to provide a perspective on marketing opportunities in the nonprofit sector, trends, and marketing benchmarks for Community Development Financial Institutions. Sources for market research may include sector newsletters, webinars, and publications. Additionally, constantly deepening understanding of IFF's target audiences to create effective marketing strategies and engaging messaging.
6. Alignment with the Communications Team: Collaborate with the Communications Team on the annual event calendar, IFF swag orders, and inventory control. Coordinate the social media content schedule via Sprout Social, share key updates from partners and influencers, and ensure alignment on content, brand, design, and style guidelines.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Performance Measures:
1. Clearly and effectively communicate and promote IFF's mission, business, impact, and value proposition for each line of business, both internally and externally.
2. Measure and track the quality and growth of leads and closed business, increase in regional brand awareness, return on investment in conferences, memberships, and events, and the establishment of healthy and positive working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including key influencers and partners.
3. Develop and implement high-quality, effective, and targeted promotional plans that are aligned with IFF's goals, impact, value proposition, and branding.
4. Ensure that projects and plans are deployed on time, meeting deadlines, and delivering solid results, utilizing project management best practices, effective communication, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve desired outcomes.
5. Deliver clear, well-organized, comprehensive, and persuasive written and oral presentations, utilizing appropriate supporting materials and visual aids to enhance the presentation.
6. Foster a culture of openness in information sharing, encouraging open communication, cooperation, and knowledge sharing among team members, promoting a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity and innovation.

Position Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or a related field.
Previous Experience: Three years of relevant marketing experience, preferably with experience in nonprofit and/or community development.
Technical Proficiency
Experience actively using marketing technology stack components, including:
· CRM platform: Microsoft Dynamics 365.
· Marketing automation software: Mailchimp.
· Social Media Scheduling Tool: Sprout Social.
· Collaborative platforms: SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
· Design/Production: Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
Special Knowledge & Skills:
Familiarity with banking/financial services, commercial real estate, nonprofits, and/or community and economic development is a plus.
Additional Requirements: Minimal regional travel may be required. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Must be able to move 20 pounds; must be able to remail in a stationary position for periods of time.
