Department Function: IFF’s Marketing team strengthens business development efforts enterprise-wide and regionally. The department helps identify and nurture several sources of lead generation through segmentation, targeting, and positioning.

Basic Job Function
The Marketing Manager is responsible for driving enterprise-wide and regional multichannel marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, attract potential clients, and generate new business opportunities for IFF's core business areas, including Capital Solutions and Real Estate Solutions. This role plays a crucial part in supporting and enhancing business development efforts across regional offices by designing efficient, mission-aligned, and targeted marketing outreach initiatives. Success in this role is measured by the growth of leads, opportunities, loans, and real estate consulting projects through a deep understanding of the ideal message, channel, and occasion to reach nonprofit leaders in underserved communities in the Midwest.
The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced marketing professional who excels at developing, executing, measuring, and optimizing successful omnichannel lead generation and lead nurturing campaigns and creating the accompanying marketing content to support the campaigns. They possess strong project management skills and are comfortable with leveraging marketing automation, utilizing design and creative tools, deploying search engine optimization tactics, performing market research, extracting reports from the data analytics software, and administering CRMs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Marketing planning and execution: Support the Marketing Director in developing, implementing, measuring, and optimizing marketing strategies and plans aligned with IFF's strategic pillars and regional market plans to help core business areas achieve their goals.
2. Email campaigns: Manage the calendar and execution of email marketing campaigns from end to end, including researching topics that resonate with target audiences. Create clear, concise, and compelling content in IFF’s brand voice and edit emails for clarity, grammar, and spelling, working closely with Communications Manager to identify marketing content opportunities.
3. Business development support: Create content and update IFF collateral for core business solutions, including one-pagers, case studies, product sheets, and sector-focused success stories. Additionally, create and write content to support business development efforts, including presentations, talking points, social media prompts, and technical assistance resource documents to promote IFF's value proposition, products, and services.
4. IFF database and marketing module: Utilize the IFF database and marketing module to obtain marketing automation and analytics based on marketing efforts, and to segment the organization's client base for targeted email campaigns. Collaborate with the Data Management team to improve data organization and collection, as well as dashboards focused on showing trends and results of lead generation and marketing activities.
5. Landing pages: Generate content and make recommendations to improve user experience and increase conversion of IFF's core business pages, such as Capital Solutions, Real Estate Solutions, Affordable Housing, and Regional Offices. Perform traffic, engagement, and keyword research to create search engine optimization plans. Collaborate with the Communications team and external contractors, as needed, to manage website pages and deploy search engine optimization tactics.
6. Marketing reports: Assist the Marketing Manager with data collection and analysis for quarterly marketing reports that present qualitative and quantitative data based on the results of marketing efforts during the period.
7. Alignment with the Communications Team: Collaborate with the Communications Team on the joint email, social media, and publications calendar, following best practices for developing messaging and language that honors communities as asset-rich and experts in their own stories, and adhering to IFF's brand, design, and style guidelines.
8. Other duties as assigned: Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Marketing Director.
Performance Measures:
1. Clearly and effectively communicate and promote IFF's mission, business, impact, and value proposition for each line of business, both internally and externally, utilizing compelling messaging and storytelling techniques that resonate with target audiences.
2. Measure and report on the quality and growth of online leads and opportunities and loans by geographical markets that can be fully or partially attributed to related marketing activities during the period, utilizing data-driven insights to inform marketing strategies and optimize results.
3. Develop high-quality, effective, and regional promotional plans that are aligned with IFF's goals, impact, value proposition, and branding, while keeping in mind the growth of leads and providing consistent business development support in each IFF market, leveraging market research and industry trends to inform strategic decision-making.
4. Ensure that projects and plans are deployed in a timely manner, meeting deadlines, and delivering solid results, utilizing project management best practices, effective communication, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve desired outcomes.
5. Deliver clear, well-organized, comprehensive, and persuasive written and oral presentations, utilizing appropriate supporting materials and visual aids to enhance the presentation and effectively communicate complex information to various stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams.
6. Foster a culture of openness in information sharing, encouraging open communication, cooperation, and knowledge sharing among team members, promoting a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity and innovation.

Position Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is strongly preferred.
Previous Experience: Three years of relevant marketing experience, preferably with experience in nonprofit and/or community development.
Technical Proficiency
Experience actively using marketing technology stack components, including:
· CRM platform: Microsoft Dynamics 365.
· Marketing automation software: Mailchimp.
· Social Media Scheduling Tool: Sprout Social.
· Collaborative platforms: SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
· Design/Production: Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
Special Knowledge & Skills:
Familiarity with banking/financial services, commercial real estate, nonprofits, and/or community and economic development is a plus.
Additional Requirements: Minimal regional travel may be required. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Must be able to move 20 pounds; must be able to remail in a stationary position for periods of time.
