Robert Half Technology is currently seeking a Desktop Support Analyst for our client in Memphis, TN. This is a contract to hire position with the ideal candidate having excellent customer service skills as well as strong technical skills. Candidate must have one year or grater of technical desktop support experience. The Desktop Support Analyst duties include supporting and deploying PC machines across the campus.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Respond to user inquiries and troubleshoot technical issues related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and other IT-related problems. Utilize problem-solving skills and knowledge bases to identify and implement solutions promptly.
- Incident Management: Receive, log, and prioritize incoming support requests or incidents from end-users via various communication channels such as phone, email, or ticketing system. Gather necessary information, assess urgency and impact, and ensure timely resolution or escalation of incidents.
- User Account Management: Assist with user account creation, modification, and deletion. Reset passwords, unlock accounts, and grant appropriate access privileges based on user roles and permissions. Ensure user accounts are properly managed and adhere to security protocols.
- Software Support: Provide guidance and assistance to users in navigating and troubleshooting software applications. Help with software installations, configurations, and address user questions or issues related to application functionality.
- Customer Service and Communication: Deliver excellent customer service by providing clear and effective communication to end-users. Act as a point of contact, keeping users informed about the status of their support requests, providing updates on system outages or maintenance, and ensuring overall satisfaction with IT support services.
