Robert Half has partnered with a prominent company to find an experienced, organized Network Administrator to join their growing team. To support the business, you will ensure security, integrity and high-availability of enterprise systems and related components in order to develop, administer and maintain the network infrastructure. You should be comfortable working with constantly changing software, hardware, network security programs, and data storage systems. This long-term contract / temporary to hire position is a great opportunity for a Network Administrator who wants to work in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, region.

Major responsibilities

- Managing the operation of all local area networks and services related to wide area networks, following company policies and procedures

- Troubleshooting and fixing local area networks / wide area network problems, including performance, connectivity and related issues

- Providing control measures for LAN/WAN security, antivirus and spam

- Upgrading network software and hardware

Requirements

- Knowledgeable of network protocols, software and hardware involved in LAN/WAN operations

- Practical knowledge of Firewall Configuration

- Wide ranging experience with Network Security Monitoring

- General familiarity with Firewall administration

- Network Configuration experience preferred

- Well-founded grasp of Firewall

- Quality experience with Network Security

- VPNs (virtual private networks) experience

- VPN Technologies experience highly desired

- Comprehensive knowledge of DHCP

- Proficiency in Network Configuration Protocol

- Proven knowledge of VLAN

- 3+ years relevant experience

- Highly capable of troubleshooting, analyzing and diagnosing issues

- Previous experience with production and on-call environments
