Robert Half is seeking a PC Technician to provide hardware and software support to employees within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in resolving issues related to Microsoft Office applications, printers, mobile devices, and more. The PC Technician will also be responsible for building and configuring new computers and devices, maintaining existing hardware, troubleshooting applications and software, and supporting custom company applications. Additionally, the role involves setting up and removing user accounts, following established processes and procedures, ensuring software updates and patches are implemented, managing IT inventory, and collaborating with vendors to resolve technical issues. Some travel within the NorCal region may be required. The PC Technician must maintain a professional and positive demeanor when interacting with customers.
Requirements
• Certificate or Diploma from a Technical School plus one year of directly related experience
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Experience in writing documentation and user instructions
• Strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities
• Familiarity with Windows 10 and Office 365 is a plus
• Proficiency in Active Directory
• Experience in VOIP system administration
• Basic network troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on assigned tasks
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
• Previous experience with an IT trouble ticket system or IT service management (ITSM)
• Strong customer service orientation
• Well-organized with the ability to communicate complex IT issues in an easy-to-understand manner
• Capable of lifting 40lbs on a regular basis
