A leader in the medical device industry is searching for a Communications Program Manager to join their Global Operations / Supply Management team. This individual will be responsible for managing program and project communications planning and execution for the supplier transfer and consolidation program.
Role: Communications Program Lead
Duration: 6-Month contract w/ potential to extend
Location: REMOTE (CST hours)
Responsibilities:
- Develop overall program strategy and messaging to explain the strategic importance of the supplier consolidation program and align the program with other company priorities.
- Manage the overall channel strategy including SharePoint Microsoft Teams targeted email Yammer video and/or podcasts.
- Review project-level communications to ensure they align to program-level messaging and style guidelines.
- Engage supplier consolidation program leaders and subject matter experts to plan strategies and content that drive awareness and knowledge for multiple stakeholder groups including external audiences suppliers.
- Manage an editorial calendar to ensure delivery of relevant and timely communications across program and enterprise channels.
- Plan, create and deliver communications to support program and executive/sponsor messaging.
- Establish a review process to ensure accuracy and alignment on all program content.
- Develop and execute strategic communications and engagement plans for process tool and technology implementations as part of the program workstreams.
- Recommend and craft communication solutions that meet audience needs and support program priorities.
- Prioritize high-impact work and enable project teams to self-manage lower-value work through the use of templates and other DIY comms tools as necessary.
- Produce relevant targeted content across multiple formats intranet content video email talking points slides toolkits etc.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to measure communications effectiveness.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree B.A./B.S.
- 7 years of experience or 5 years with a Master’s degree in a professional communications role within a corporate agency or consulting environment
- Proven experience leading strategic communications for complex multi-year initiatives
- Excellent writing skills across digital video scriptwriting internal news articles etc.
- Exercises excellent judgement in developing strategy and tactics aligned to overall program priorities and audience needs
- Possess strong change management communications capabilities and understanding of organizational dynamics and social psychology
- Self-starter able to manage a busy schedule and prioritize requests from many sources
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and adapt to a changing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in working in fast-paced environment with sense of urgency
- Experience with a large-scale business transformation or organizational change effort
- Expertise in which content formats and channels best reach different audiences
- Significant client facing experience in a multi-national corporation
- Proven experience and ability to navigate complex organizations
- Experience with sprint-based technology and/or process implementations
