The Digital & Consumer Product Manager is responsible for leading the strategy and execution for one or more assigned products, working closely with customers, designers, engineers and subject matter experts from across the company to guide the product elements from conception to launch and beyond. Deeply knowledgeable about our industry and customers, this role bridges the technical and business worlds to develop a product that our customers love.

This position may directly manage other employees as appropriate, as well as lead a matrixed team composed of designers, engineers, technical program managers, product marketing, and other subject matter experts.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Partner closely with design, engineering, subject matter experts, stakeholders and executives to create shared understanding, clarity and alignment on strategy and execution for your products.
Define, build and execute a product vision and strategy for their product(s) serving Virtuoso’s customers, members and partners.
Apply processes to inject consumer, advisor and partner feedback directly into the heart of the product discovery, design and development process and serve as the voice of our customers and partners for your team and the company.
Synthesize product strategies using data and customer insights, market/network analysis and constituents, as well as Virtuoso’s subject matter experts.
Develop and maintain a high level of expertise on travel, tourism, technology, market trends, Virtuoso’s diverse customers and operations.
Drive and evangelize analysis and application of data in the product development, revenue and audience development. De-mystify data and distill complex analysis into clear presentations and communications with executives and partner teams across the company.
Manage the P&L for your product(s).
Collaborate with peers and PM management to model a strong, effective product culture and best practices for the product discipline.
Evangelize Product Management practices and help the team grow into positions of influence and scale.

Educational and Skills Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of Product Management experience
Experience leading and managing/developing a matrixed product team
Demonstrated track record of success in the full lifecycle of product management: product vision and roadmaps, writing exceptional PRDs and shipping products with high impact and customer satisfaction.
Demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated projects and competing priorities simultaneously
Experience managing digital advertising/marketing products preferred
Passion for building and scaling products that are technically excellent, aesthetically appealing, easy to use and loved by customers.
Superior analytical and quantitative skills; experience using data and metrics to test theories, confirm assumptions, and measure success
Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems with an extreme attention to detail
Strong skills around cross-functional and executive collaboration, influence, and communication; ability to achieve clarity and drive focus in complex and dynamic contexts
Ability to articulate and communicate with customers, internal teams, press and industry organizations.
Communication (Advanced) – Ability to create clarity and alignment with stakeholders and executives
Project Prioritization – Ability to complete road map planning and focus team initiatives that drive key performance indicators

Travel Requirements:

Infrequent travel may be required to attend company events. (1-3 trips per year)
Travel will be primarily domestic but may include some international.

Type/Nature of Contacts:

Internal: Key job contacts are primarily with director level staff and above outside of the job’s immediate work unit/department.
External: Weekly communication with customers; monthly contact with business partners and vendors.
