Come join Viewport, one of the fastest growing digital media and publication startups in the U.S. We are seeking a skilled Product Manager to shape product vision and execution across our primary consumer engagement channel of email. This is a fast-paced entrepreneurial role which requires a growth mindset to successfully build and iterate on easy, fun, and engaging email experiences. This role will lead through influence, ensuring cross-functional teams deliver against the product roadmap and experimentation priorities. We are growing fast, still at an early stage, and working on exciting new problem sets at the intersection of technology and user experience.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of Product Manager, Email you will apply a data-driven mindset and cross-functional leadership abilities to craft iterative and outcome-focused roadmaps that result in increased user retention and engagement. You will create order and be responsible for driving ruthless prioritization across design, content creation, engineering, and other functions in order to deliver against desired timelines. Combining the data analysis and user research you perform, you will disseminate understanding across the organization of the most important areas to focus on for the email user experience and you will be responsible to drive for alignment. You will partner with our data scientists and engineers to identify areas where machine learning or other cutting edge technologies can be leveraged. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative and agile environment, and be excited to learn.

Candidate Profile & Responsibilities

2+ years experience owning creation and growth of large-scale consumer digital applications or marketing programs; including crafting roadmaps, backlogs, and experiment queues.
4+ year of total experience working on digital consumer experiences
Expertise in building, tracking, managing events for understanding user behavior on the Internet and using SQL queries to perform analytics of the events to gain insights into the highest leverage opportunities for product development.
Experience with how consumer facing experiments are designed, measured, and analyzed to drive desired outcomes
Proven ability to translate product requirements into actionable tasks and stories - you will ensure all tasks are a complete package of clear requirements and necessary information before each sprint.
Experience in a fast-paced agile startup product management and release principles - you will ensure the JIRA backlog is well managed.
This role will solely be responsible for the QA function and approval of all tasks within a sprint before changes go into production.
Expertise in Atlassian Tools, Google Analytics, Figma, Tailwind CSS, Contentful, and/or React/Next.JS is a plus.

This is a fully remote job and offers great flexibility, but you must be located in the United States. All of our employees work remotely and you will be working and collaborating with teammates from the East Coast to the West Coast.
This is a full-time position. The majority of your work will occur during core business hours. Compensation will be commensurate with aptitude and experience, but the company historically pays at the top of local market rates.
