We are seeking a skilled .NET 5 developer to join our team. You will develop Web API solutions and create and maintain interfaces with School Information Systems. Your goal will be to work with internal teams to design, develop and maintain back-end software.

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with software development and integration, as well as a strong understanding of interface procedures. You should also have excellent problem-solving and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other team members and external system administrators. A degree in computer science or a related field is required.

Responsibilities

Transform software designs and specifications into high functioning code that adheres to industry standards.
Develop and maintain APIs, webhooks, and systems integration based on business and front-end requirements.
Ensure data integrity, security, and privacy in all interface-related processes, including data mapping, transformation, and encryption.
Create database schemas that represent and support business processes.
Compose and maintain documentation of interface designs, configurations, specifications, component and change management procedures.
Collaborate with external system administrators to troubleshoot and resolve interface-related issues, including permission management, authentication, and authorization.
Monitor interface performance metrics and logs to identify and address bottlenecks, errors, and scalability issues.
Assume Project Lead responsibilities when necessary.

Required Skills

7 years of experience in C# and .NET 5 with a strong knowledge of its ecosystems
Proficient in using Visual Studio for software development and maintenance, including debugging, coding, testing, and deployment
Experience developing RESTful APIs
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies such as Entity Framework and Dapper
Create unit and integration tests
Understand fundamental design patterns behind a scalable application
Proficient understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud platform

Preferred Skills

Working knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment and DevOps principles is a plus
Experience with Azure DevOps tool suite is strongly preferred: Boards, Wiki, Repos, Pipeline, Test Plan, Artifacts, etc.
