At RGI Creative, a great Designer innovates ideas successfully into reality. To do this, they understand and manage the design details through the processes of design, pre-production, production and installation. They drive teamwork internally with Project Management, Engineering, Building, Logistics and external partners. They take a leadership role and accountability for the clients’ expectations and budget and understand the ultimate goal of having the project be on time, on target, on budget, with no unpleasant surprises.

Responsibilities:

Research, brainstorm, explore and even rapidly prototype and test creative and innovative design ideas and solutions with an interdisciplinary team.
Create high-quality design documents that capture a creative vision and design intent through concept, schematic and detail design phases.
Pitch Development. Work on lean creative teams to communicate concepts through visuals that are on-trend, on-brand, and visually-stunning.
Direct aesthetic design choices, such as form factor, color, and materials, with mood boards and/or other visual references.
Guide projects through production, ensuring that the design and storytelling vision remains consistent and on brand.
Oversee the creation and fabrication process with both our internal teams and external vendors.
Work collaboratively in a studio setting to creatively concept, design, and implement layouts for environments, displays and interactives for a wide range of clients.
Take concepts and ideas and innovate them to make them a reality.
Manage the design process and function from start to finish.
Manage the design, production and estimating for internal and external creative.
Define visual communication goals and articulate how they are supported by design concepts.
Produce concept and design intent documents for each project.
Provides environmental and structural design expertise to the team.
Work closely with client service teams to manage creative needs, brand objectives, design specifications/requirements, and delivery dates for programs.
Work closely with external vendors to ensure timely delivery of various campaign materials.
Collaboratively create and participate in presentations and meetings with clients throughout the design process.
Be accountable for the quality and integrity of the design details from concept through implementation.
Manage time to develop creative solutions within a budget and on time.
Execute on each project to meet deadlines while producing excellent quality of work.
Helps lead and contribute to brainstorm sessions to help elevate the creative concepts within our events, designs and digital opportunities.
Lead client service meetings when kicking off projects.
As needed, potential overnight travel of up to 20%.
Minimum 40 hours per week.

Qualifications:

Be passionate about design.
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, industrial design, architecture, or environment design.
A strong portfolio of work across a wide range of creative projects and mediums.
3+ years of experience preferred but not required bringing projects from concept through to production, overseeing external and internal build and fabrication partners, and communicating design choices to clients.
Demonstrated mastery of Adobe Creative Suite programs including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and other graphic software.
Expertise in 3D modeling software (SketchUp, Rhino, Fusion, or another of your choice).
Hunger to learn new things and to apply design thinking to different problems and briefs.
Strong proofreading skills in grammar, spelling and style.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
Collaborate in a high energy, diverse team environment.
