The Civil-Military Innovation Institute, Inc. (CMI2) is seeking a Cloud Engineer to plan, develop, and maintain cloud-based systems and infrastructure for internal CMI2 resources and those used to support current and future Government clients. The position is full-time.

CMI2 is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that bridges the gaps in defense innovation, creating functional solutions tosupport the warfighter with immediate impact and effect. We call it ‘Innovation in the Dirt,’ a frontline approach to fostering military modernization. CMI2 has a nationwide footprint including locations on Military installations.

Essential Position Functions:

Design, develop, and deploy new cloud-based systems
Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
Maintain and improve existing systems
Advise both CMI2 and clients on new cloud initiatives
Assist in patching and improving the security of cloud systems
Support both internal and external security auditing
Assist in developing policies impacting cloud-based solutions
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree in computer science, IT, or related field and 2 years’ experience or 5 years’ experience and applicable certifications
Experience with Microsoft Azure
Must display strong team player mentality and high emotional intelligence
Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Take initiative and seek out responsibility
Secret Clearance (Preferred)
U.S. Citizenship required

Travel Requirement: 15% (estimated)

Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
